Scottish Brass Antique With Stone Brooch
Scottish Brass Antique With Stone Brooch
The Celtic Knotwork was used to illustrate the Book of Kells and the Book of Durrow by ancient monks (monks who started the Book of Kells on the island of Iona, Scotland). Celtic knotwork is widely used and seen across Scotland and Ireland, this symbol is said to bring good luck, health or prosperity, or to represent luck and long life.
These types of Celtic knotwork brooches were used for centuries to hold cloaks, tartans, and to decorate dresses and clothing by Irish and Scottish nobility and warriors.
If you use a plaid brooch, your kilt will remain in place much better
